PLANETS 

On February 28, 2025, an astronomical event of rare beauty awaits us, a so-called Planetary Alignment: all the planets of our solar system will be visible in the night sky at the same time, seemingly in a row. On this day, 'f/low' presents PLANETS, a sonic portrayal of the solar system blending astronomy and art.

Thomas Kessler’s  composition explores cosmic harmony through piano tones derived from planetary data. 

This table shows how the parameters used in the composition for pitches, lengths and repetition frequencies are derived from the original values of the planetary system according to mathematical formulas.
